The end

These are some beautiful numbers.  His heart rate looks so much at better at 130 than it did at 200.  His respirations are right where they should be at 32…not 62.  And he is sitting at 97 % oxygen saturation on room air.  Beautiful!

He is nursing, but he went right back to his old ways.  I guess I shouldn’t have expected that to change.  The pumping I was doing was more consistent and higher volume than what he has been eating today, so I’m a bit uncomfortable.  But it is a minor inconvenience for the joy of being able to nurse him after 12 days of not being able to.

This morning, the doctor told us to go home! You don’t have to tell me twice.  We are waiting for the discharge paperwork.  I am going to go pack up the car and we are outta here!!!

I can’t wait to get home…to see my dogs and pet my cat and run on my treadmill and sleep in my own bed.  But most importantly, to have all my boys under one roof again.  After 16 long, scary, emotional, and exhausting days, this ordeal is finally over!

So glad to hear this! I only just now read the whole story, but it took me right back to our own baby-in-the-hospital experience (http://makinghomesimple.wordpress.com/2010/09/13/remembering-a-miracle/). While I wouldn’t want to repeat that ever, we had a very tangible sense of God’s peace through it all. Steve and I kept reminding each other that God had never failed us before, and we could trust Him in that moment, whatever the outcome would be.

We will pray for continued healing for your little Logan, and for rest and peace for your family.

    Much love,

Okay…maybe I’m just a dork. I tried to comment, but it didn’t work, but now it did…once. Go figure. :)

  6. Jaden will be beside himself to have you home to put him to bed tonight. He is just going to be so happy. Get ready for a lot of jumping around, hugs, and kisses.
