Monday’s to-do list

Let the detox begin.  After several days of overindulging, I was craving a Green Monster smoothie this morning.  This one is blueberries, raspberries, banana and spinach.  I wish I had some Almond Milk…and Xanthum gum.  Where does one find xanthum gum?  I’ve looked everywhere.

I plan on snacking on some toast with home made strawberry jam a little bit later.  I also plan on napping.  That sounds wonderful.  Last night was not a restful night of sleep.  Tim went to the Packers/Giants game at Lambeau yesterday (and cheered for the wrong team), so he didn’t get home until late.  I always thought that I was one of those people who couldn’t sleep if their spouse wasn’t home.  Like the bed would be too empty or something like that.  I guess that isn’t true.  I was out cold and never even heard him come in last night.  In fact, I didn’t even notice he was home until about 2:30 when Jaden decided to climb into bed with us.  I don’t know why he did that…he is usually quite content in his room.  I offered to take him back to his room and put him back to bed, but Tim didn’t seem to mind.  And since Jaden was sleeping on Tim’s side of the bed, I wasn’t really affected at all.  Until 4:30, when Jaden had an accident…in OUR bed.  He needed to be cleaned up, our bedding needed to be changed and Jaden had to go back to sleep in his own bed.  But not before he showed me what daddy had brought him from the Packer game…

It is hard to be excited over a Green Bay Packer candy cane at 4:30 in the morning.

Tim decided that he wasn’t going to be able to fall back asleep at 4:30 so he started talking to me.  As much as I love lying in bed and talking with my husband, I prefer not to do it at 4:30 in the morning.  I was pretty sure I would be able to fall back to sleep.  I’m pretty sure I could fall back to sleep right now.

But, I have a few more things on my to-do list for the day.

*Lots of laundry—all our bedding, plus the laundry that I neglected over the Christmas weekend.

*Going to City Hall to pay our real estate taxes—oh the joys of being an adult.

*Ordering Jaden’s birthday cake—I hope that the grocery store in town can do a Star Wars cake!

*Planning something for dinner—I got some seitan out of the freezer, but I’m not sure what to do with it yet.

*Emptying the last few boxes—there are only a handful left and I really want them gone.

*Dropping some clothes and stuff off at the consignment store.

My list is longer than I thought.  Maybe I should start with a nap.

Any ideas what I should do for dinner??
